Hisense is one of the newer TV makers and, quite frankly, many of their earlier offerings were far from impressive. Things are completely different with the R6090G. It is a cheap TV that still gives you all the most important things you want from a Smart television.
Hisense R6090G review: First thoughts
Hisense’s 2020 release gives you great balance between performance and affordability. The television delivers high-quality 4K pictures and it comes with Roku software inbuilt. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate. It comes with HDR capabilities that take your viewing experience to the next level.
The RG only takes minutes to set up, and you can import your settings if you already have a Roku account.
Colors are rich and blacks are sharp when watching this television. The picture quality and details remain just as impressive when you switch over to a gaming console. The HDR system is perfect for gamers looking for the best graphics possible. HDR media looks just as great.
Navigation around the Smart interface is simple, particularly if you already use Roku. Everything is done through this interface. This includes switching to external devices or gaming consoles. You simply click on the corresponding icon in the interface, instead of pushing the input button as is the case with most television.

This television comes with a Voice Search feature that allows you to find media by simply saying what you are interested in. It makes finding what you want to watch a lot easier. The RG can be controlled via an app on your IOS or android device as is the case with newer Roku devices. The app also allows you to stream the audio from the TV to your phone so you can listen via Bluetooth or a wired earpiece connected to your phone. A great feature for gamers or late-night movie watchers who want to enjoy rich audio without waking up everyone else in the house.
Another cool feature that comes with this television is its upscaling capability. It works better than what you’ll find on other similarly priced TVs. Lower quality content like 480p get a quality upgrade when viewed on this TV. Just don’t expect it to magically turn into 4K quality content. Other noteworthy features include:

Sounds feel small and shallow depending on the media you’re watching. You should certainly consider getting a soundbar if you plan to get this TV.

The RG is an impressive budget TV that was well designed. It comes with an awful sound system, but that’s not much of a surprise since they hit everything else out of the park. A soundbar solves the poor audio, and you get to enjoy high-quality 4K content as you play video games or enjoy media.
